Picture quality

To ensure an optimal display speed, we have chosen to show all the photographs of our Image Data Bank in low definition and in compressed form.
This solution however changes the reproduction of colours and the granulation of photographs:

On the left side, the photograph is compressed and downloads within 3 sec. at 28,6 Kbps. whereas the non-compressed picture on the right can be downloaded within 7 sec.

However, the photographs delivered (on paper or CD-ROMs) are of professional quality and in-high-definition-digitalized pictures.

Presence of black stripes

On some photographs, black stripes appear on the sides of the picture. These stripes are not visible on the photographic print.
